Thoughts Become Things Part 5: Bringing Change

Thoughts Become Things Part 5: Bringing Change

Mark 11:23 (NLT) I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, “May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,” and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.

Research has found that the electromagnetic field of the heart is approximately 5,000 times greater in strength than that of the brain. The electrical voltage of the heart is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the electrical activity of the brain.

Your heart is more powerful than your head.

There are two types of physics: Newtonian Physics and Quantum Physics. Newtonian physics involves the big stuff—physical matter—things you can see. Quantum Physics involves the little stuff—the makeup of matter—things you cannot see. Interesting enough, the things we see find their origin in the things we cannot see.

Hebrews 11:3 (ERV) Faith helps us understand that God created the whole world with his command. This means that the things we see were made by something that cannot be seen.

To a large degree, what we think about, we bring about. Our heart’s abiding beliefs and emotions have a tremendously powerful effect at the “quantum” or spiritual level.

2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV) We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.

Why is this important? Because changing the beliefs of our heart and the words of our mouth is what brings forth change in our life. The reason Jesus never concerned Himself with what He saw was because He knew where true change always begins—it starts with the unseen.

Ephesians 6:12 (JOHN) Our real struggle is not with persons, but with those invisible forces which shape life on earth.

Jesus knew that the invisible (the unseen) is what shapes life here on earth. Ephesians 6:12 reveals that the way to change the natural order of things is by changing the spiritual order of things.

Luke 17:14-15 (KJV) When he [Jesus] saw them [the ten lepers], he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God.

John 4:52-53 (KJV) Then enquired he [the father] of them the hour when he [his son] began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth . . . .

Notice, Jesus was not moved by what He saw. These miracles were NOT instant manifestations. Why wasn’t Jesus moved? Because Jesus’s stance of faith was in taking dominion over the spiritual forces shaping the natural world. Our problem is most Christians have “Newtonian Faith,” instead of “Quantum Faith.” Quantum faith knows that something is happening right NOW, regardless of whether I can see it or not.

Your heart is where the power is.

We vainly attempt to win the battle in our mind. But the average person loses their attention span every 6-10 seconds. Faith cannot manifest if the belief that is organizing it is always changing. Therefore, the secret to faith is the heart. Heart beliefs are what make us stable and immovable.

How do I know if I’ve established God’s beliefs in my heart? Established heart beliefs will cause:

  • You to see yourself differently.
  • Your thoughts, feelings and emotions change.
  • Satan’s lies no longer make sense.
