Easter Message – When Jesus Returns

The resurrection proves who Jesus is.

Romans 1:4 (NLT) Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit.

There is no salvation if there was no resurrection. The resurrection offers the gift of salvation from sin.

Romans 5:10 (AMP) While we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection] life.

Jesus’s death reconciles us, but it’s Jesus’s life that saves us. The resurrection empowers us with God’s Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NIRV) God gave us His Spirit. And the Spirit doesn’t make us weak and fearful. Instead, the Spirit gives us power and love. He helps us control ourselves.

All this is made available, but none is accessed until . . .

Matthew 6:33 (CW) Make God’s kingdom and His righteousness first in your life, and all the other things will be given to you as you need them.

Matthew 10:39 (AMP) Whoever finds his [lower] life will lose it [the higher life], and whoever loses his [lower] life on My account will find it [the higher life].

Joshua 23:12-13 (ESV) For if you turn back and cling to the remnant of these nations remaining among you and make marriages with them, so that you associate with them and they with you, know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you, but they shall be a snare and a trap for you, a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good ground that the Lord your God has given you.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV) If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

1 Peter 1:13 (NLT) Think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the special blessings that will come to you at the return of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is coming again. Will you be ready?

Matthew 25:1-10 (ABRV) “In that day,” Jesus told his disciples, “the kingdom of heaven will be like ten bridesmaids, five wise and five foolish. The foolish took no extra oil for their lamps, but the wise took containers of oil. As the bridegroom was late, they all dozed. But at midnight the call came, “Go out to meet the bridegroom . . . .” While the foolish were gone [to get more oil], the bridegroom came. Those who were ready went in to the wedding, and the door was shut.

Zechariah 1:3 (NIV) This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.
