Right and Wrong Thinking Part 1

Right and Wrong Thinking Part 1

Hosea 4:6 (EXB) My people ·will be [or are being] destroyed, because they ·have no [lack] knowledge.

John 17:17 (NIV) Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

“Sanctify” means to separate, free, set apart, and make holy.  To “make holy” means to make like the Lord.

Four Areas of Sanctification:

  • Our knowledge of God.
  • Our knowledge of self.
  • Our knowledge of our enemy.
  • Our knowledge of faith.

Romans 12:2 (NIV) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

How we see God will affect our life more than any other belief.  If we think God is mad at us, or that He is too busy to help us, we will form beliefs that limit us.

John 8:32 (NKJV) You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

1. Is God angry?

Romans 3:23-25 (NLT) For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus  to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God’s anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us.

2. Does God love me?

John 3:16 (AMP) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

3. Will God do bad things to me?

1 John 4:18 (TLB) We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; His perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what He might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what He might do to us, and shows that we are not fully convinced that He really loves us.

4. Does God make me go through bad things to teach me?

James 1:16-17 (NIV) Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

5. Will God leave me or stop loving me if I fail?

Romans 8:38-39 (NIV) For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV) The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

    GOOD Stuff !!! Yay, God
Concerning the Romans 8:38-39 passage the only thing that can separate you from God’s Love is the thing that is not on the list – – – The Past – – – God is present future and never is living in the past – The evil one knows this and tries to keep our minds focused there in the past so that we stay stuck there and it can sometimes be pretty hard to find God’s Love there except for the fact that we repent and realize the power of the blood of Jesus changes everything even how we look at the past – which is not to live there but rather to look at it from the present with the renewed mind of His Amazing Love !!
