The Winner’s Circle Part 3
Ephesians 2:12-13 (Phillips) You were without Christ . . . You had nothing to look forward to and no God to whom you could turn. But now, through the blood of Christ, you who were once outside the pale [the covenants of promise] are with us inside the circle of God’s love and purpose.
Everything changes once you’re inside the circle. Inside the circle you are loved, accepted, and forgiven. Inside the circle you are a victor, prosperous, and a success. Why? Because all of God’s covenant promises are now yours!
2 Corinthians 1:20 (AMP) For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him.
. . . And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. – NLT
Easter was not just a day to be remembered, it is an event to be experienced. The Resurrection was a miracle. Easter is a day for miracles.
1 John 3:19-23 (Phillips) We shall know that we are children of the truth and can reassure ourselves in the sight of God, even if our own hearts make us feel guilty. For God is infinitely greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. And, dear friends of mine, when we realize this our hearts no longer accuse us, we may have the utmost confidence in God’s presence. We receive whatever we ask for, because we are obeying his orders and following his plans. His orders are that we should put our trust in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another.
You are a Righteous, Worthy, and Qualified
Colossians 1:12 (NKJV) Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
. . . who has made us worthy . . . — Jubilee Bible
We are qualified and worthy because God made us righteous.
Romans 5:19 (Phillips) One man’s obedience has the power to present all men righteous before God.
Romans 10:1-4 (Phillips) My brothers, from the bottom of my heart I long and pray to God that Israel may be saved! I know from experience what a passion for God they have, but alas, it is not a passion based on knowledge. They do not know God’s righteousness, and all the time they are going about trying to prove their own righteousness they have the wrong attitude to receive his. For Christ means the end of the struggle for righteousness-by-the-Law for everyone who believes in him.
Make the Move!
1. Receive Jesus. Open your heart up and let Him in.
Romans 5:17 (NIV) Those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
2. Surrender to God. Make Jesus the Lord of your life.
1 Peter 1:3-4 (Message) Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven – and the future starts now!
3. Develop a real relationship with God.
John 17:3 (NIV) This is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
