Unlock Your Superpower

1 Samuel 10:5-6 (NLV) When you [Saul] come there to the city, you will meet a group of men who speak for God coming down from the high place. They will have harps, an object to beat sounds of joy, and a horn. And they will be speaking God’s Word. Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you with power. You will speak God’s Word with them and be changed into another man.

  • God uses relational connections to impart things to us.
  • When we speak God’s Word our lives are changed.

Saul was the first king of Israel. He successfully led Israel through a huge governmental change. Saul did the impossible when he was valuing and speaking God’s Word.

Jeremiah 23:28-29 (VOICE) The one who has My word should speak it with unshakable faith . . . . Does not My word burn like fire? Does it not shatter rock like a strong hammer?

When we speak God’s Word positive things happen and strongholds break. God’s Word in your mouth is your superpower.

Mark 11:22-23 (NIV) [Jesus said], “Have the kind of trust that comes from God! Yes! I tell you that whoever does not doubt in his heart but trusts that what he says will happen [he] can say to this mountain, ‘Go and throw yourself into the sea!’ and it will be done for him.

Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP) I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.

King Saul starts off strong! He is winning battles and skillfully leading Israel, till he begins devaluing God’s Word.

  • 1 Samuel 13 He dishonored God concerning offerings.
  • 1 Samuel 15 He disobeys God; sparing Agag and lying.
  • 1 Samuel 17 He doubted God when facing Goliath.

Saul changed into another person when he honored God’s Word, but reverted back when he dishonored God’s Word.

Proverbs 13:3 (WYCLIFFE) He who guardeth his mouth, keepeth his soul safe; but he who is careless when he speaketh, shall experience evil.

Your words will either limit you or loose you. Out of the abundance of our hearts our mouth speaks. What we are planting in our hearts shows what we value.

Numbers 13:30-32 (NKJV) Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad [evil] report . . . .

10 spies gave an “bad” report: one that disagrees with God.

Numbers 14:1-2 (NKJV) So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.  And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!”

Numbers 14:29-30 (NKJV) The carcasses of all who complained against God fell in the wilderness . . . .  Except for Caleb and Joshua . . . .

Their words limited what God could do for them. Be a Caleb! Be a David! Be a Daniel!

Daniel 10:11-12 (NKJV) [An angel] said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved . . . . Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
