The Winner’s Circle Part 1

The Winner’s Circle Part 1

A winner’s circle is where victors go, after they’ve won, to be recognized and to receive rewards. Think about the area of life you struggle in the most. What if you already beat it? What if the battle was won and you were free, you just didn’t know it?

1 John 4:4 (CEV) Children, you belong to God, and you have defeated these enemies. God’s Spirit is in you and is more powerful than the one that is in the world.

The truth is, you’re a winner, the battle is won, you are free.

Ephesians 2:12-13 (Phillips) You were without Christ . . . You had nothing to look forward to and no God to whom you could turn. But now, through the blood of Christ, you who were once outside the pale [the covenants of promise] are with us inside the circle of God’s love and purpose.

The phrase translated “inside the circle,” in the Greek, means to be born into, to come into existence, to be made, finished, and to be celebrated. This phrase does NOT carry the idea of becoming (we have become); instead, it carries the idea of emerging.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

There is nothing more detrimental to your faith and self-worth as “trying” to become. The secret to Christianity is found in the past tense of God’s Word.

Philemon 1:6 (Tree of Life) May the fellowship of your faith become effective, with the recognition of all the good that is ours in Messiah.

As you recognize who you are in Christ, you begin to reap the rewards.

Past Tense of God’s Word

Colossians 1:12-14 (AMP) Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints (God’s people) in the Light. For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty].

You are Forgiven, loved, and accepted

The Lie: If you knew what I’ve done, God can’t love me. So people battle trying to earn God’s love and acceptance.

John 3:16 (AMP) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

God loves you and dearly prizes you! He is head over heels in love with you!

Isaiah 43:4 (MSG) I am GOD, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you . . . That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.

Not only does God love you, He accepts you as you are.

Ephesians 1:5-7, 13 (Johnson) Because of His love, God determined to adopt us as children into his family . . . through the unconditional acceptance He has offered us in Christ. Through Christ and his death for us, we can be assured that we are delivered from meaninglessness and set again on the track of God’s original intention for us . . . . When you heard the good news that God loves you and accepts you through Christ, you trusted Christ and accepted God’s acceptance of you.

Zephaniah 3:17 (Passion) The Lord your God has arrived! He’s inside of you even now! What wealth and mighty power He brings you—giving you victory and saving you. He will take such delight in you that it will make Him leap for joy, twirl and spin, even shout with great gladness . . . . He will renew you with His love.
